"Sean was a great host. The pictures don’t do this place enough justice. It’s beautiful and accommodating for big groups, and the river access is great. We didn’t get to see all of the property, but the parts of it we did get to check out were fantastic.
Sean and his daughter are both friendly and fantastic people and Sean is always willing to support and is a text message away in the house next door. Great communicator and very accommodating."

Bailey Creek Ranch is an 82-acre Northern California retreat in Manton, CA, about 45 minutes east of Red Bluff and Redding. For years, this place was known as one of the region’s premier fly-fishing lodges—a destination for anglers from across the West. That heritage is still alive in the waters that wind through the property, but today the ranch is also so much more.
I'm Sean, and Bailey Creek Ranch has been part of my family for years. I stayed here often with my kids and fell in love with the land, the lodge, and the feeling of slowing down in nature. When the home came up for sale in 2024, I purchased the property and am excited to carry its legacy forward.
In June 2025, I re-opened the ranch with new life: freshly updated amenities, space for families and groups to gather, and a renewed vision for the property as a retreat for fishing, adventuring, and reconnecting.
Whether you’re planning a family reunion, a friends’ weekend, a team offsite, an anglers’ retreat, or simply a few days to unplug in nature, Bailey Creek Ranch is your private home in the wild.
"Bailey Creek Ranch is everything you could hope for in a peaceful retreat — and then some. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty of the land and the warmth of our host, Sean.
The property feels like your own private oasis. One of our favorite parts was starting the day with a hot cup of coffee beside the private creek that runs through the property — the sound of the water, birdsong, and fresh mountain air made it the perfect morning ritual.
The house is clean, cozy, and beautifully furnished with all the essentials. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the living area is perfect with a pool table.
Sean is a truly wonderful host — thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely caring. He made us feel right at home and was always available for questions or local recommendations. His hospitality added so much to the experience. We didn’t want to leave, and we can’t wait to come back."
